Darwinian Evolution: Should it Be Taught in School?

Darwinian Evolution: Should it Be Taught in School?

By Humphrey Kutosi

The first time I heard about it was in primary school, Class 7. Standing before us was fat Mr. Mukajanga* (or for my prudish brethren, a well-fed man). With the fervor of a witch doctor, he preached that great-grandpa was a monkey. Maybe that made sense for him, with his furry hide and apish brutality, but it blew the minds of us 12- and 13 year-olds. Did man really evolve from apes? If that was just my story, fine, but it’s the same for millions of kids. The purpose of school should be to educate young ones of the truth and challenge them to live by it. Not peddle fairy tales. Are these monkey stories true? In this blog, I’ll present three reasons why evolution should be booted from the classroom faster than a heretic from a Puritan pulpit.

DNA: A Manual of Instructions

Imagine you were lost somewhere in the middle of the Sahara Desert, dust clogging your dry throat, making you thirstier than a chicken’s armpit. Then you spot words scratched in the sand: “Water, 20 meters left.” Are you going to think those words scribbled themselves over billions of years? That it’s just by sheer coincidence they point you to a drink? Of course not, unless you’re reading this from Butabika Mental Hospital.

When Darwin, bless his beard, cooked up evolution, he thought the cell was some simple chapati with a few nyanya mbisis scattered here and there. Wrong! Scientists now admit the ‘simple’ cell is not simple at all. Inside the simplest animal cell, there is an insane amount of specific orders—the genetic code (DNA). DNA is an advanced language, much like Lumasaaba, with a four-letter alphabet: A, C, G, T, for adenine, cytosine, guanine, and thymine.

Molecular Biologist, Dr. Graham Cairns-Smith ((a Darwinist himself)) compared it to a library, saying that the average human cell packs “a million book-pages.” A million pages in one cell! He calls them “construction and service manuals.”1 I wonder whether Dr. Cairns-Smith ever asked: Where did all this information come from?

Everywhere we look, information only comes from minds. I know some of you might be thinking, AI, but even AI is a regurgitation of human ingenuity. And a bad one for that matter! Agnostic biochemist Dr. Michael Denton lays it bare:

The complexity of the simplest known type of cell is so great that it is impossible to accept that such an object could have been thrown together suddenly by some kind of freakish, vastly improbable event. Such an occurrence would be indistinguishable from a miracle.2

The Missing Links are Still Missing

“Ladies and gentlemen, the missing links are still missing,” bellows the evidence when you waterboard it. Missing links are the fossils of freaky in-between creatures like human-ape (half human, half chimp). Fossils are dead creature remains from a distant past, studied in paleontology.

You know that artistic ascent-of-man chart in biology books? It isn’t real! No such transitional fossils have ever been found. It’s only a work of art, not proof.

This ain’t breaking news. Even Darwin himself had a moment of doubt over it. He said that if his theory was true, “the number of intermediate varieties [missing links], which have formerly existed on the earth, [must] be truly enormous.” So why isn’t every nook and cranny of the earth teeming with these intermediate creatures? He called this “the most obvious and gravest objection” to his theory.”3

Worse, Darwin noted “numbers of species of the same group suddenly appear in the lowest known fossiliferous rocks.”4 These sudden appearances suggest that these species lived at once without having descended from any former species. Darwin called this “a formidable objection” that could torpedo his ideas.5

But Darwin kept preaching, banking on future fossil finds. 160 years later? Nothing. No human human-apes, no amphibian-fish, no reptilian-birds.

When Luther D. Sunderland asked Darwinist Dr. Colin Patterson, fossil guru at the British Museum, why his book had zero transitional fossil pics, Patterson admitted:

I fully agree with your comments on the lack of direct illustration of evolutionary transitions… If I knew of any, fossil or living, I would certainly have included them. You suggest that an artist should be used to visualise such transformations, but where would he get the information from? I could not, honestly, provide it… Gould and the American Museum people are hard to contradict when they say there are no transitional fossils… There is not one such fossil for which one could make a watertight argument.6

Dr. Stephen J. Gould, Havard’s fossil guy, fabricated punctuated equilibrium, saying that evolution happens in sudden bursts after long naps to explain away the missing fossils. He wrote:

The extreme rarity of transitional fossils forms in the fossil record persists as the trade secret of paleontology… In any local area, a species does not arise gradually… it appears all at once and fully formed.7

Get this: Patterson even said evolution shouldn’t be taught in school! In a lecture to fellow scientists he said:

Can you tell me anything you know about evolution, any one thing, that is true? I tried that question on the geology staff at the Field Museum… and the only answer I got was silence… Eventually one person said, “Yes, I do know one thing. It ought not to be taught in high school.8

These evolution sheikhs admitting their wudu is invalid is startling. But the international media and fossil hunters keep hyping up their fake missing links. Take Ido, the 2009 fossil hyped as the missing link. Two evolutionist profs poured water on the excitement, saying Ida was just a lemur, not some human bridge.9 Do you remember Lucy (zinjathropus), from next door Tanzania? Sorry folks, she was just a chimp, not your grandma.

The Law of Biogenesis

Biogenesis says life only comes from life. It is the opposite of abiogenesis. Biogenesis? Very true. It’s what my wife is about to do. Abiogenesis? Never. A living cell has never been observed to arise from non-living matter.

Evolutionist Michael Marshall admits, “When put into practice in the lab, [abiogenesis] ideas don’t produce anything particularly lifelike.” It’s like building a car frame and waiting for the engine to magically show up.10

Abiogenesis is such a statistical joke that some push panspermia—life from space. Okay. But where’s the proof? Why ain’t bacteria raining from space? How would life survive space’s death trap? Panspermia just postpones the problem. It does not solve it.

So, as it turns out, abiogenesis is not science. It is an article of misplaced faith. If Darwinism can’t explain life’s start, why trust it for the rest of the story?

Summing Up the Evidence

As my friends from Rakai would say, we have skinned Darwin and found no flesh under his hide. His theory is a grown-up’s fairy tale, a thin shield for folks dodging the biting conscience of a Grand Designer. There are no fossils to bridge the gaps. It makes no sense of DNA. And life from non-life? I have never seen it, and never will.

Let’s be honest: What we see proclaims a Grand Designer—God. Not some blind, mindless process tossing dice for billions of years. As it’s written:

[It is] God, who made the world and everything in it . . . [and] gives to all life, breath, and all things. And He has made from one blood [Adam] every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and He has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being . . . [God] now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead (Acts 17:24-28,30-31)

Evolution is a scam. Letting it be taught to our children is not education. It’s brainwashing.
